What to Expect Before Your Outpatient Procedure

Before any procedure at the Outpatient Care Center, it’s important that we have all necessary information. Our staff is committed to helping you with all aspects of your care and processes for registration and financial arrangements.

Usually, you’ll register when you arrive for pre-op testing (if required) or for your procedure. Pre-registration is a quick way to speed the registration process. Learn more about the pre-registration process and download the pre-registration form.

Within 72 hours before your surgery or procedure, it’s important to come in for pre-operative testing if your doctor has instructed you to do so. Be sure to allow time to complete lab tests, x-rays or an electrocardiogram (EKG) ordered by your doctor.

Here’s a list of guidelines for preparing for your outpatient procedure. These guidelines vary, so please discuss them with your doctor before your scheduled appointment:

If you have questions, please call the Outpatient Care Center at (510) 264-4049. Our staff is more than happy to answer your questions or concerns.
